I worked with Tulasi on series 4 of The Rap Game for BBC. The show is famously challenging as it involves following unconventional talent as they battle for a life changing prize in a brand new city.

Tulasi was an absolute pleasure to work with and dealt with every challenge thrown at her.

She is creative, great at creating a rapport with the shows cast and incredibly reliable and diligent.

She is a great team player but also not afraid to speak her mind and give her suggestions when needed.
I would definitely work with her again.

Tulasi joined a team producing the BBC2 series Tribes Predators and Me, for which I was PD of one of the 3 films. Among a range of tasks for the other 2 films, including archive research and preparing rushes for an edit, she was assigned to my film as a researcher. It was still in pre-production and hadn't yet been fully signed off by the commissioner, so it needed a lot of work to get it off the ground. She put a huge amount of energy into finding the most powerful subject possible for the film, talking to anthropologists, biologists and fixers.
She worked passionately in choosing and helping to shape the potential story according to her instincts and what interested her most. This made a very compelling proposal, and helped to sell the idea to the commissioner. As a result of her enthusiasm and commitment to the subject matter, I was keen to get her involved in the shoot, in a very challenging location in Ethiopia's South Omo region as well as in Addis Ababa and Harar. Although she had not had much location filming experience, she worked extremely hard, contributed by helping manage relationships with a tribe and with local crew, by translating and logging rushes in 40 degree heat, and by assisting the sync crew wherever possible. She also did some filming for online elements for the series.
She was very professional, hardworking, capable and fun, and I would definitely be happy to work with her again in future.
